WELTER GUITARS IS AFFILIATED WITH MUSIC MANOR OF LANSING (MI)
Basic set up work
Basic setup work: If your action is too high or too low, I can adjust the truss rod and bridge to optimize the action for your play style.
Fret level and dress:
If you’ve got buzzing issues, it might be because your frets are uneven. I can fix this by sanding them all simultaneously until they are even, then rounding them.
If the problem goes beyond the frets themselves, it might have to do with the fretboard. I can remove the frets, level the fretboard, and then refret it.
If the frets are already too small to level, I can replace them, whether or not the neck has binding on it.
If you’re experiencing buzzing at the first or second frets, you might need a new nut. I can craft a new one for you using bone, brass, or hard plastic. Alternatively, for acoustic guitars, I can make a new saddle as well.
Basic electronics work:
If you have scratchy pots or faulty input jack, we can clean or replace them.
